Pima Vs. San Carlos 2024

Pima High School's Roughriders delivered a football clinic last Friday night, crushing the San Carlos Braves with a resounding 66-0 victory! The energy was electric, the plays were explosive, and the atmosphere was pure gridiron magic.

The Roughriders dominated from the kickoff, showcasing their offensive firepower and defensive prowess. Jeremiah Martinez was simply unstoppable, racking up 173 rushing yards and three touchdowns, including an electrifying 60-yard dash to the end zone! And let's not forget the defensive dominance displayed by Brock Haws, who sacked the quarterback twice and made five crucial tackles, with 5.0 of them for a loss! Pima's ground game was relentless, accumulating an impressive 296 rushing yards, their highest total since November 2023. The defense was equally impressive, sacking the San Carlos quarterback a total of five times throughout the game.

This win catapults the Roughriders into the semi-finals, where they'll go face to face with an unknown team at this time. I am very excited and anxious for that announcement to come to everyone. I'll keep everyone informed if I'll be able to have the pleasure to live stream it or not.

A Near-Perfect Night (Except for That One Tiny Hiccup...)

As always, I was thrilled to be on the sidelines, capturing the action for Need4Sports. For once, I thought everything was running smoothly—the stream was crystal clear, the audio was crisp, and the excitement was palpable. But then, like a fumble on the one-yard line, disaster struck! My camera battery decided to take an unscheduled break right at the start of the halftime show. 😫 I was devastated to miss the mini cheerleader performance, especially knowing how much it meant to the parents and the little ones involved. Thankfully, I managed to get things back online, but the sting of missing those adorable routines lingered. (Note to self: triple-check those battery connections next time!)
